Organizing any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning and risk. As you may imagine, from the moment an event host or coordinator begins to organize and promote an event, costs are incurred. Participant fees are invested into the cost of staging the event which includes an inordinate amount of energy and many expenses such as: race site scouting, course logistics, arrangements or permitting, communications, boat vendors, start & finish site logistics, Lake Authority communications, insurance costs, marketing, online admin. fees, race equipment, crew, boat expenses, crew, restocking or cancellation losses, shirts, awards, other goodies — not to mention time & stress. It is for these reasons we must have a no refund policy.
