Cap 2k Open Water Race April 28, 2019 The only "downhill swimming race in Texas”
Austin's signature open water swimming event, the Cap 2k, is a 2000+ meter, straightaway course in Lady Bird Lake, which runs right down the middle of the city.
Rated in the TOP 10 "Recreational Events in Austin," and in the TOP 50 Open Water Races in the U.S. Enjoy a beautiful swim, some live music here and there, and a post-race picnic catered by Austin favorites. |

Deep Eddy Mile August 17, 2019 Austin Chronicle’s "Best Splash!"
This classic event takes place in the cool waters of historic Deep Eddy Pool, the oldest outdoor pool in Texas. A 1766 2/3 yards (or, 53 laps) mile is contested by age divisions: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 . . .
Each swimmer gets his own lane. Competition is open to adults 18 and over. Heats are seeded according to age group and time. |

Lake Travis Relay October 12, 2019 Fun is unavoidable
A 12-mile open water swimming, 6-person relay beginning at Emerald Point and finishing with awards at finish-site restaurant.
Six swimmers per team will each complete a 20-minute leg, then a 15-minute leg, then 10-minute legs until their team has completed the designated course in the specified time. |

Highland Lakes Challenge October 23 - 27, 2019 The World's first-ever open water swimming stage race . . . and, pie.
Swim 5 lakes in 5 days! Held in the beautiful Highland Lakes hill country, just outside of Austin, Texas. Each day offers different challenges. Swim the 5-day "Monster Challenge" or 3-day "Weekend Warrior" or choose a day here or there. Daily "Monster" distances between 2+ to 4+ miles. Mile swim offered on some days.
Join swim mates afterwards for lunch and camaraderie over a free piece of pie from the landmark Bluebonnet Cafe. After all, it's all about the pie! |
